Automotive Relays

Automotive Relays are especially designed for Automobile products. Auto Relays are used to switch multiple things at the same time using one output. A single output connected to multiple relays will allow you to open continuity and/or close continuity simultaneously. The major applications are Car Alarm system, Center door lock System, Flashers, Anti-locking brake systems etc. A typical vehicle can have 20 A Relays or more.

We are Manufacturer, Supplier and Exporter of our product range. Our setup is situated in Pune, Maharashtra, India and majorly we serve our customers from all over India including metro cities like Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad.

Product introduction

Automotive relays are electrical devices used in vehicles to control high current circuits with low current signals. They play a crucial role in various automotive applications by acting as switches that enable or disable the flow of electrical power to different systems within a vehicle. These relays are designed to handle the higher voltages and currents commonly found in automotive electrical systems. Automotive relays possess a straightforward design, comprising a coil constructed from coated wire along with an iron core. These relays function by monitoring the current of an electromagnet to facilitate the opening and closing of contacts, thereby controlling electrical circuits. Diverse relay types are available for automotive applications. While control relays lack distinct structural variations, one of their distinguishing attributes is their lightweight nature.

Key Features
  • Switching High Currents : Automotive relays are capable of handling high currents, making them suitable for controlling components like headlights, horns, fuel pumps, cooling fans and starter motors.
  • Low Current : They are triggered by a low current signal, often from a switch or control module in the electrical system of a vehicle. This low-current signal activates an electromagnetic coil within the relay which then opens or closes the internal contacts of the relays to control the high current circuit.
  • Protection : Relays help protect delicate control circuits from high currents and voltage spikes. They also provide electrical isolation between the control circuit and the high current circuit, enhancing safety and preventing potential damage.
  • Versatility : Automotive relays come in various configurations including single pole, double pole, normally open , normally closed and changeover types. This versatility allows them to be used in a wide range of applications.
  • Reliability : Relays are known for their durability and reliability in harsh automotive environments where they may be exposed to temperature fluctuations, vibrations and other challenging conditions.

Applications
  • Starter Relay : Controls the starter motor to crank the engine when the ignition key is turned.
  • Headlight Relay : Manages the power supply to the headlights, ensuring proper illumination and preventing damage to the headlight switch.
  • Fuel Pump Relay : Controls the operation of the fuel pump, ensuring the engine receives the required fuel pressure.
  • Cooling Fan Relay : Activates the radiator cooling fans to prevent engine overheating.

Automotive relays are integral components of an electrical system of a vehicle, contributing to its overall functionality, safety and efficiency. Automotive relays are used in vehicles to control electrical circuits and devices. They play a critical role in ensuring proper functionality and safety in various systems within an automobile.
